Description
Lulworth Cove was formed by the sea breaking through a hard band of Portland limestone and eroding the softer rocks behind to form a perfect spherical cove. It is very beautiful and a major attraction.
There is a huge car park and it is possible to walk from Swanage but it is surprisingly difficult to get to by public transport. Diligent research finally revealed that it is possible to ring the local authority and order a taxi/bus which runs to a timetable but only if requested.
