The South West Coastal Path stretches for 630 miles all the way around the peninsular from Minehead to Weymouth. It has developed from the paths used in earlier centuries by coastguards in their war against the smugglers. Today's walkers enjoy sublime sea views throughout its length because the coastguards who made it had to visit and observe every quiet bay and hidden creek in their work.
This is Mill Bay just south of Land’s End, noisy with the roar of the surf.
