The Briars, St Helena.

4.   St Helena's best known footnote in the history books is the fact that it is to where Napoleon was exiled at the end of his career. At the start of his exile he stayed in this house as a "guest" of the family. The house is at sea level where it is much warmer and drier. By all accounts Napoleon was much more warmly treated and much preferred being here than at Longwood House.
