Approaching Jamestown. St Helena

1.   St Helena, several hundreds of miles further south, has a similar volcanic origin to Ascension Island. It is bigger and has a much larger and permanant population.

Here the infrequent ferry service is approaching the landing jetty, immortalised on film by the unfortunate governor who missed his step.
